A ribbon cutting ceremony is planned to celebrate the completion of the social gathering space and playground project at the Culver Town Park.
The event is planned for Thursday, June 8 at 6 p.m. ET at the Culver Train Depot at 615 E. Lakeshore Drive.
These projects were a result of the 2019 Marshall County Crossroads Regional Stellar grant through the Office of Community and Rural Affairs. OCRA Executive Director Denny Spinner is expected to be a part of the day’s festivities along with other dignitaries and stakeholders in the process.
The project included parking lot improvements, a plaza with added seating and improved accessibility with sidewalks, added lawn space, Farmer’s Market space, playground redevelopment, the installation of a swinging covered bench, a performance stage, and cornhole boards.
Winamac Awarded Federal Grant
Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch and the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs announced 22 rural Indiana communities will receive more than $12.5 million in federal grant funding to create and expand community facilities, remove blight and improve water infrastructure.
