Two people were arrested after a traffic stop in North Judson on Wednesday evening.
According to police, North Judson Chief Deputy Frank Thomas initiated a traffic stop after the driver was reportedly recognized by the officer as a person with known arrest warrants. The driver did not stop and allegedly made erratic movements and crossed over the fog line. The driver did pull over about a half of a mile down the road.
A Winamac woman faces drug charges in Starke County after an alleged trespassing incident. Deputies from the Starke County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home in the 2000 south block of 700 East around 5:30 a.m. Friday after the resident reported someone was trying to break in. They found 33-year-old Patrina Hall outside the residence and arrested her for trespassing. Continue reading
A report of a possible murder victim stashed underneath a trailer north of Winamac turned out to be a false alarm after the person was found safe in Starke County. Yesterday morning two men went to the Starke County Sheriff’s Office, told officials there they had spent the night at the trailer, and people in the house had discussed the murder. Continue reading
