Preschool scholarships available at SCCF
Many local preschools still have openings for children to ensure your child is ready for kindergarten.
Full and partial scholarships are still available at several local preschools through the Starke County Community Foundation’s Preschool Scholarship Program. Preschools participating in the scholarship program that still have openings include Foundations Preschool and Little Lambs Preschool, both located in Knox plus adventure Island Preschool and St. Peter Lutheran Preschool in North Judson.
Enrollment for Kindergarten, Preschool at O-D Set for April 16
With only two months left the school year, it’s time to start thinking about enrolling your child into kindergarten or into preschool.
Kindergarten and preschool registration for Oregon-Davis students will be Wednesday, April 16 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. CT at the elementary school.
30 Students Approved for KCES Preschool Program
The Knox Community School Board members received an update on the Title 1 preschool screening process at their meeting this week.
Instructor Jana Hazelton explains the process.
“We did a two-day screening for preschool where families brought in their little one in. The screening consisted of language, math concepts and gross and fine motor concepts. We had a testing team consisting of three teachers and we did the evaluation of the results based on readiness for our program,” explained Hazelton.
