The Winamac Park Board is revisiting plans to upgrade the landscaping near the entrance to the fairgrounds, but getting it done it time for this year’s 4-H Fair may prove to be a challenge. Last year, the park board agreed to let the Pulaski County Jr. Leaders replace the entrance sign, remove most of the bushes surrounding it, and replace the wooden posts used as edging.

The Town of Winamac is asking residents to help clean up the Town Park. Last week, the town’s park board scheduled this year’s Town Park cleanup day for Saturday, April 28 from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

Minor Flooding Occurring in the Winamac Town Park
Minor flooding in the Winamac Town Park has forced an event to be relocated.
The Pulaski County 4-H beef and dairy weigh-in has been relocated to the Pulaski County Highway Garage. The event will occur from 10 a.m. to Noon ET.
Starke, Pulaski County 4-Hers do Well at State Fair
Several area 4-Hers have done well on their projects at the Indiana State Fair.
The following Starke County 4-Hers received a Merit Ribbon for their projects: Mason Awald for his Electric project, Samuel Back for his Weather project, Alex Haney on a Foods project, Haley Hartmann for Cat Posters, Alivia Hesters for Foods, Rachel Lenig for foods, Gage Minix for Crafts and Shooting Sports Education, Hanna Shidler for Home Environment and Mia Shively for Photography.
Winamac Town Board Receives Update on Proposed Dog Park
The Winamac Town Board received an update on the proposed dog park this week.
The Pulaski County 4-H members have been trying to obtain funding for two years for a dog park that will be located on Logan and Pearl Streets in Winamac. The dog park will be available for residents to let their dogs out and enjoy the outdoors and the park will also eventually used for agility training.
