Winter Wonderland Activities Already Underway
Get an early start on this year’s scavenger hunt as part of the Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce Winter Wonderland. Free game cards are available at the chamber office inside Refined at 102 N. Monticello Street, the Winamac Town Office and Pearl Street Market. Players need to work their way south from Good Oil to Poblanos to complete their cards. Incredible Causes will Benefit from Spirit of Pulaski County Proceeds
The annual Spirit of Pulaski County, formerly known as Germanfest, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 8 this year at the Train Depot in downtown Winamac. During the event, the Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a spirit ride and spirit walk in memory of Tina Kasten and all other domestic abuse victims. Pulaski County Chamber Announces H.J. Halleck Award Winner
A Winamac High School graduate has been named as this year’s Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce’s H.J. Halleck Award winner.
Judy Stinemetz will be recognized for her many years of dedicated service at Pulaski Memorial Hospital, where she worked as the dietary manager for 37 years. She is a volunteer at Pulaski Human Services where she is the food pantry organizer and is in charge of the mobile food pantry. She has also organized the Women of the Moose in Winamac and holds many fundraisers for the community. Among her other community efforts include her assistance on Election Day, memberships with the Cystic Fibrosis Organization in Pulaski County and the State Board of Dietary Managers, pack-a-backpack, and other fundraisers.
Nomination Deadline for H.J. Halleck Award Approaching
Members of the Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce are currently accepting nominations for the H.J. Halleck Community Service Award.
A Pulaski County resident is recognized each year for his or her outstanding community spirit. The award winner is honored for his or her time spent on improving the life in Pulaski County through a variety of projects. Those who are nominated have willingly given time and energy without the gratitude and recognition they deserve.
Winter Wonderland Event in Winamac Set for Saturday
The Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce’s Winter Wonderland event is tomorrow in downtown Winamac from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET.
Several craft and business booths will be set up in different locations including the Vurpillat Opera House, fire station, Refined, Christian Church and the New Beginnings Church. Local businesses will have sales for Christmas shoppers. The Lion’s Club toy drive and the craft and bake sale will be at the Pulaski County Human Services building, the Iris-Elm Garden Club holiday arrangement show will be at the train depot and the boy scouts coat drive will take place on the courthouse lawn.
Winter Wonderland Event in Winamac Scheduled for Dec. 6
The Winter Wonderland event is set for Saturday, Dec. 6 from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. ET in downtown Winamac.

Germanfest set for Tomorrow in Winamac
The Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce will present Germanfest tomorrow in downtown Winamac.
Games and activities for kids and adults will begin at 3 p.m. including a cornhole contest and create-a-canvas. The completed canvas projects will be sold at a silent auction where proceeds will benefit the Germanfest event for next year.
GermanFest Set for Aug. 9
GermanFest returns to Winamac on Saturday, Aug. 9.
The event begins with a golf outing at 8 a.m. ET at Pond View Golf Course. Music and children’s activities will be ongoing from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Create-a-canvas will spark talent in residents and those pieces of art will be sold at a silent auction with the proceeds to benefit GermanFest.
Town-Wide Yard Sales Set in Winamac
The Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce will host a town-wide yard sale event on Saturday, July 19 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET in Winamac, rain or shine.
If you plan on having a yard sale, reserve a spot on the map for $10. The maps will be available for all shoppers at the Pulaski County Chamber office at 102 N. Monticello Street in Winamac. The deadline for placement on the map is Friday, July 11.
Senator Charbonneau to Visit Pulaski County Next Week
The Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce will welcome Senator Ed Charbonneau for a visit in Winamac next week.
The senator will discuss bills that affect business in Pulaski County and other items in the legislature as well.

Jacki Frain Presented With 2014 Halleck Award
The annual meeting of the Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce and the Halleck Award Recognition Banquet was held Saturday evening at the Event Center in Winamac, honoring Jackie Frain as this year’s Halleck Award recipient for her outstanding services to the community. Frain was honored after the organization’s annual meeting, adding her to the list of 31 previous recipients.

The annual meeting of the Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce and the Halleck Award Recognition Banquet will be held Saturday, March 8 at 6 p.m. ET at the Event Center in Winamac. Tickets are still available, but seating is limited so you are encouraged to reserve your ticket early.
Charbonneau to Visit Fox’s Den in Pulaski County for Meet and Greet
Senator Ed Charbonneau will be visiting Pulaski County for a meet and greet on Monday, offering Chamber of Commerce members and the public to visit and ask questions. Judy Heater, coordinator for the event, said that the senator is coming at the Chamber’s request to be their guest representative this quarter.
Heater said she’s not sure what the senator will discuss, but he will be present to answer questions.
Governor Mike Pence Visits Pulaski County
Indiana Governor Mike Pence entered the Fox’s Den in Winamac Tuesday afternoon with a smile on his face and his hand extended to meet the many residents and business owners who gathered there and to discuss the state of Indiana, along with great measures the state is making in education and employment.
Governor Pence stated that small business is what makes Indiana a great place to be.
