The Pulaski County Fair continues, despite the threat of rain. The fair board posted on Facebook Monday that river levels aren’t a concern at this point, and animals weren’t being sent home early. The National Weather Service predicts that the Tippecanoe River at Winamac will crest tonight just below the flood stage.

Now that the front of the Winamac Town Park has new restrooms, attention is once again turning to the restrooms in the fairgrounds. The Winamac Park Board recently agreed to let Northern Indiana Power from the Past apply for grant funding.

Recognizing Pulaski County’s 4-H members while also avoiding a spike in COVID-19 cases is the goal of this year’s scaled-back Pulaski County Fair. Last month, organizers announced that livestock shows and some other competitions were still expected to take place, but they’d be closed to the public.

The Winamac Park Board is revisiting plans to upgrade the landscaping near the entrance to the fairgrounds, but getting it done it time for this year’s 4-H Fair may prove to be a challenge. Last year, the park board agreed to let the Pulaski County Jr. Leaders replace the entrance sign, remove most of the bushes surrounding it, and replace the wooden posts used as edging.
