Starke County Council Unable to Give Raises to Employees in 2019
After all of the work was done to cut about $833,800 from the 2019 budget, the Starke County Council found that they are unable to give raises to county employees this year.

Several Knox school administrators will be getting a raise, following action by the school board Monday. “The board approved raises for administrators from anywhere between zero up to $2,000,” says Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart,” depending upon the administrator and the evaluation that was done on that particular administrator.”
Knox School Board Approves Master Teacher Agreement
The Knox School Board has ratified its master teacher agreement with some teachers seeing a bit of a bump in salary.
During Monday’s School Board meeting, it was noted that Knox teachers have not seen a salary increase in about three years. That is largely explained by declining enrollment in rural school corporations in past years.
