Continue readingThe North Judson-San Pierre School Board finalized a few personnel changes Tuesday. Board members accepted Julie Berndt’s resignation from the elementary school principal position, effective June 30. In practice, Cary McKay has been serving in that role for the past few months.
Continue readingSome Eastern Pulaski school administrators have had their contracts extended by a year. Last week, the school board voted to extend the contracts of Elementary School Principal Jill Collins, Middle School Principal Ryan Dickinson, and Athletic Director Bill Ball through June of 2021, according to board documents. Board members also agreed to add 10 days to the contract of incoming High School Principal Jeremy Tucker.

Continue readingA longtime bus driver for Knox Community Schools has been chosen to take over as transportation director. Tara Pitts was officially appointed to the position by the school board last week, at the recommendation of Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart. “For those of you who haven’t met Tara, she’s been a bus driver with us for . . . 20 years,” he said. “And so she has lots of experience with us and now moving into the transportation director’s seat, and she’s up and running.”
Eastern Pulaski Community School Board members said goodbye to some employees and filled a few open staff positions when they met in a special session last Thursday.
Superintendent Dan Foster explained that the open assistant principal position at the high school was filled with Dr. Eugene Sweeney from the Granger area. Continue reading
