Pulaski Economic Development Considers Revolving Loan Changes
Part of the decision-making process for revolving loans in Pulaski County’s economic development could soon be handled by a separate entity.
The changes are still considered preliminary, but discussions are taking place at the Pulaski County Community Development Commission to move risk-analysis and loan recommendations to Valparaiso-based “Regional Development Company.”

Pulaski Commissioners Approve Revolving Loan for Reception Center
Pulaski County continues to smile upon fledgling businesses, as a family hoping to construct a banquet hall and reception center in the county have been granted a revolving loan on top of the rezoning approval they received in December. Gary and Sandra Saltzman were approved to have three parcels located at 8631 S. U.S. 421 in Francesville rezoned from A-1 to C-2 to allow them to open the banquet hall and reception center. Building Inspector Dave Dare said there are already buildings on the parcel that can be used for that purpose with only remodeling necessary.
Conditional Revolving Loan Approved By Pulaski County Commissioners
A $132,000 loan has been approved by the Pulaski County Commissioners to L&C Recycling, LLC, to allow Tom Bonnell to move his business from its current location on State Road 119 south of Winamac to a facility on County Road 200 South near 500 West.
The loan was approved pending his request to rezone the new location to industrial to accommodate his business. He was recently granted a favorable recommendation by a revolving loan committee, and now with the commissioners’ approval, the matter falls to the shoulders of the Pulaski County Planning Commission. A hearing will be conducted on Aug. 27 to decide whether or not to proceed with Bonnell’s request.
