A discretionary sentence was handed down by Starke Circuit Court Judge Kim Hall in three separate cases involving defendant Eric G. Wireman.
Wireman, 28, pleaded guilty in a plea agreement with the state on charges of possession of methamphetamine as a Level 6 Felony and two counts of burglary as a Level 5 Felony.
A Knox woman received a 16-year prison sentence after pleading guilty in a plea agreement with the state to several charges.
Starke Circuit Court Judge Kim Hall sentenced Sherry Wireman, 51, to ten years in the Indiana Department of Corrections on a charge of Dealing in Methamphetamine, a Class B felony. She was also sentenced to three years on Class D felony charge of Possession of Methamphetamine and an additional three years on a Class D felony charge of Possession of Precursors or Chemical Reagents.
The sentences were ordered to run consecutively for a total of 16 years. She was ordered to have purposeful incarceration and if she successfully completes a drug rehabilitation program while incarcerated, she may petition the court for a sentence modification.
A Knox woman was arrested Wednesday after police executed an arrest warrant and search warrant at her home.
Officers went to Sherry Wireman’s home on 150 South in Knox to execute an arrest warrant and while they were serving the warrant, officers reportedly saw drug paraphernalia in the residence.
A Knox woman was arrested Sunday after Knox police found her with an alleged active methamphetamine lab in her vehicle.
A Knox City Police officer saw a vehicle traveling northbound on 500 East from State Road 8 and it went off the road. Shortly before approaching the intersection with Corey Drive, the vehicle’s turn signal activated and turned onto the road. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.
