Pulaski County’s 2022 budget was narrowly adopted by the county council Monday. The nearly $18.6 million budget passed by a vote of four-to-three, with Rudy DeSabatine, Tim Overmyer, and Mike Tiede opposing. Monday’s vote came after four special meetings, where council members ultimately trimmed the proposal by about $675,000.

Another Pulaski County EMS paramedic will be allowed keep her seniority from a previous full-time tenure, but whether that becomes an official part of the county’s policies remains to be seen. EMS Director Brandon DeLorenzo told the county council last week that the paramedic dropped down to part-time for about a month but now wants to go back to full-time.

A longtime Pulaski County EMS employee is being recognized for her years of service. Stephanie Foust was presented with a plaque by EMS Director Brandon DeLorenzo during Monday’s county council meeting. “I’d like to publicly thank you for 10 years of service with Pulaski County EMS,” DeLorenzo said, “and I hope I have 10 more.”

Three more candidates have been added to Pulaski County’s General Election ballot. The Democratic Party has added candidates for the auditor’s and recorder’s races after no Democrats ran in the primary, according to Clerk JoLynn Behny.

The Pulaski County Election Board has finalized the results of last week’s primary. Clerk JoLynn Behny says that of the hundreds of mail-in ballots sent out, only two were returned after the deadline. She says a total of 35 ballots were rejected.
