The Monterey Christmas Parade that was scheduled for Saturday, December 1st has been postponed. Parade Organizer Pat Daily said it has been moved to next Saturday on December, 8th and the parade will still take place at 6:30 p.m.
Daily shared that there will be prizes awarded for the three best floats. The third place prize is a $25 Kroger gift card, the second place prize is $100 and the first place winner will receive $200. Continue reading
Loan Request Headed to Pulaski County Council
The Town of Monterey may take out a larger loan from Pulaski County.
Pulaski County Community Development Commission Executive Director Nathan Origer explained that the county agreed to loan the Town of Monterey $10,000 in order to provide matching funds for the proposed wastewater treatment facility project in Monterey. This was approved by Pulaski County government entities last year.
Pulaski County Council Approves Loan to Town of Monterey
The Pulaski County Council approved a loan to the Town of Monterey for its waste water treatment facility upgrade.
Pulaski County Community Development Commission Executive Director Nathan Origer asked the council if they would approve a $10,000 loan with zero percent interest to help the town complete its quest in obtaining money for 20 percent match for the $205,000 project.
