Work continues on the Knox Community School Corporation’s $20 million building project. Construction manager Larson-Danielson recently gave an update to school officials, according to Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart.

The Knox School Board Tuesday accepted what Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart called “a once-in-a-lifetime gift.” An anonymous donor has given the school corporation $300,000 to rebuild the high school track. “This donor had heard that we were going to redo the track,” Reichhart explained, “and the donor had run track for Knox and wanted to do something to give back to Knox and to the Redskin community.”

Marissa Hamilton Ties Bi-County High Jump Record
Here you can see Marissa clearing 5 feet 4 inches to tie the Bi-County high jump record. Listen closely at the end you can hear Marissa asking what she did wrong, she wasn’t aware that she did not knock the bar off until her next attempt.
Rachael Franko’s Record Jump
On her second attempt, Rachael’s jump was measured at 17 feet 2 1/4 inches, breaking the old record of 16 feet 9 inches. On her final attempt, Rachael landed at 17 feet 5 inches, once again breaking the meet record, but also breaking her school record in the process.
Quentin Barnhardt’s 1st Place Throw
Quentin’s throw of 49 feet 8 1/2 inches earned him 1st place in shot put at the Bi-County track meet.
