The Town of North Judson is finally getting a splash pad. Materials and plumbing quotes for the Norwayne Field splash pad were approved by the town council Monday. The splash pad materials will come from Rain Deck for just over $10,000, while TLC Plumbing will do that work for a little more than $27,000.

North Judson Officials Receive Initial Design Plan for Proposed Splash Pad
Plans are coming together for the potential splash pad at Norwayne Field. Councilman James Young shared some details from a preliminary design plan that was provided to him by Vortex Aquatic Structures.
The splash pad in the design would encompass the entire concrete slab that already exists at Norwayne Field. It would utilize about 69 gallons of water per minute and have 21 flush mount water fixtures. Continue reading
North Judson Town Council Covers Preliminary Cost Estimate for Norwayne Field Splash Pad
North Judson Town Council members held a preliminary discussion about financing for the proposed splash pad installation at Norwayne Field when they met on Tuesday.
Since there seems to be a general consensus amongst community members and town representatives that this is a positive project to pursue, Councilman James Young said he’s been coordinating with Bill Smith from Vortex Aquatic Structures about developing a plan.
Councilman Young said he told Smith the Town is looking to spend approximately $60,000 or less for the installation of the recreational water feature. Continue reading
Splash Pad Talks Continue in North Judson
A representative from Vortex Aquatic Structures came before the North Judson Town Council last week to provide them with a bit more information about the Splash Pad that’s being considered for Norwayne Field.
Vortex Splash Pad Expert Bill Smith talked with the council and stressed the fact that their goal is to build a feature that fits the town’s needs. To address concerns with water usage, Smith noted that play value isn’t dependent on using a lot of water.

Some questions were raised when the possibility of installing a splash pad at Norwayne Field was brought up at Monday night’s North Judson Town Council meeting.
