The Winamac Town Council has agreed to let the town spend almost $246,000 beyond what was listed in this year’s budget. An additional appropriation ordinance was unanimously approved during a special meeting last week.

The Town of Winamac is moving ahead with its Fourth of July fireworks. Town Manager Brad Zellers told the town council last week that enough donations have come in, and the contracts with the fireworks company are now in place.

Donations are still be collected for the Winamac Fireworks Display, as officials are still more than $2,800 away from their goal with the June deadline approaching.
Additionally, officials with the Town of Winamac are reassessing fireworks display plans, after the distributor alerted Town Manager Brad Zellers that the park will not be an acceptable location. Continue reading
