La Porte County Crash Claims Life of Lake Station Man

A Monday morning crash on I-94 in La Porte County claimed the life of a Lake Station man. 

The single vehicle crash occurred at 11 a.m. in the westbound lanes at the 37.3 mile marker on I-94.  Indiana State Police say the driver of a black 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup suffered a medical event and the passenger attempted to gain control of the truck.  In doing so, the vehicle struck the outer guardrail and rolled over onto the driver’s side, according to the report. 

The driver, 43-year-old Adam L. Braun, was pronounced dead at the scene by the La Porte County Coroner’s Office.  The passenger, who was not identified, was transported to a Michigan City hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The Indiana State Police was assisted at the scene by the Coolspring Township Fire Department, LaPorte County EMS, LaPorte County Coroner’s Office, Music’s Towing, Cloverleaf Towing, Master Trooper Council, Senior Trooper Potesta, and Troopers George and Marlowe.
