News from the Knox Community School Board Meeting

The Knox Community School Board received bids on January 11th to purchase buses. The Board received two bids – one from International and one from Thomas. The Board members took the bids under consideration and will approve a bid at their next meeting.

Knox Middle School teacher, Amie Flora, was approved to be the school’s representative on the Starke County Library Board.

Superintendent A.J. Gappa reported to the Board that the last contingency day will need be used to make up for days called off due to weather. Students will be in school on Monday, February 21st, Friday, April 29th and on Monday, May 2nd. One day will need to be added to the calendar to make up the last day taken off for the latest snow event.
