The Bass Lake Summer Splash continues today with their 40th anniversary celebration, featuring a water volleyball tournament at 10 a.m. at The Shore Club. Six-person co-ed teams will compete in the tournament.
The 5K run and walk will take place at 7:30 a.m. after the 6:15 a.m. registration at the Lion’s Club Building on the east side of the lake, and arts and crafts will be available near the Bass Lake Marina at the south end of the lake from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The carnival will be across from Fingerhut Bakery starting at 9 a.m., and the business expo will take place at the Bass Lake Property Owners Association building from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Food vendors will open at 9 a.m. at various locations around the lake, and the photography contest will begin at 9 a.m. at the BLPOA building, along with the Build-a-Boat contest and historic tram tours.
Sail boat races will kick off at 11 a.m., and the horseshoe tournament will take place at The Sandbar Restaurant from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
A parade around the lake will follow the car show, starting at the Bass Lake Golf Course at 1 p.m. The bean bag tournament will take place at 2 p.m. at The Sandbar Restaurant, and the goat drop game will be at 5 p.m. at the Hickory Hills Campground.
Fireworks will finish off the day at dusk.
