Dermody explained that the committee covers all of the pertinent items in the legislature.
“The Public Policy Committee works with a lot of the hot button topics such as guns, abortion, gambling, and alcohol,” stated Dermody. “It should be an exciting time.”
He added that he’s very honored and excited to be part of the Public Policy Committee.
Dermody indicated that he’s not quite sure of what is expected to be discussed with the committee in the 2014 General Assembly but will know soon.
“I will wait to see what bills the Speaker of the House assigns the Public Policy Committee and then move from there.”
