A LaPorte woman was airlifted from the scene of a crash on I-94 in Porter County Tuesday morning.
Troopers from the Indiana State Police Department investigated the accident and in their preliminary findings, Jeremy Morgan, 33, of Michigan City lost control of his vehicle a mile-and-a-half east of the Portage exit. The vehicle rolled four times before coming to rest on its roof into a fence near a tree line.
Morgan was wearing his seat belt and sustained minor injuries. While his sister, 25-year-old Jessica Morgan of LaPorte, was a seat belted passenger in the vehicle, she sustained life threatening injuries. She was flown to Christ Advocate Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois.
