The North Judson-San Pierre School Board will consider adoption of a balanced calendar for the 2015-2016 school year when they meet this evening. They are one of several area corporations considering the approach. School would start earlier in August and get out the first of June.
The 180 instructional days would be broken up by a fall intersession to provide remediation for students who need some extra academic help. Officials at several local school corporations are considering the approach. Tonight’s school board meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the central office.
Other agenda items include approval of a bus purchase, an update of the corporation’s financial status and approval to advertise for a tax anticipation warrant.
