Plans are in the works to revive the Peppermint Parade in downtown Knox. It will take place Saturday, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. and will kick off a day of holiday-themed festivities. Parade entries are due to the mayor’s office by Friday, Nov. 18. There is no fee, and late entries will not be accepted.
Santa Claus will be a guest of Knox Mayor Dennis Estok and will visit with children of all ages after the parade at Wythogan Park. Bring your own camera for photos. Other attractions include hot cocoa and cider, s’mores, horse-drawn carriage rides and other family activities.
The official city Christmas tree lighting ceremony will take place at 5 p.m. as part of the hometown Christmas celebration.
