The Eastern Pulaski School Corporation hopes to make a few more improvements with money left over from its recent renovation project.

Superintendent Dan Foster says the school board is considering a list of items that were missed during the renovation. “We’re going to have some allowance funds remaining from our contracts with the renovation,” he explains. “And so we’ve got a list kind of started and we had some information back from our design and architectural company and starting to put some things to paper.”

Some of the proposed upgrades include carpeting additional hallways in the middle school/high school and replacing curtains in the auditorium. Foster says updating the middle school office and high school guidance areas is also under consideration. “They were part of the last renovation 20 years ago, so actually they were in pretty good shape, until we got everything else done,” he says. “And now that we see everything else done, they don’t look so good. So we’re talking about a coat of paint, redoing the lights, redoing carpet in those areas.”

The school board discussed the potential improvements Monday, but has not yet given formal approval to any of the projects.
