The Knox School Board has approved the purchase of two new school buses. Superintendent A.J. Gappa says the school corporation is getting a 78-passenger Bluebird bus for a cost of roughly $92,000, as well as a 48-passenger Bluebird wheelchair lift bus for around $98,000.
Also during last week’s meeting, the school board appointed Bill Kaminski of LaPorte law firm Newby, Lewis, Kaminski & Jones as the corporation’s attorney. Gappa says the appointment takes effect January 1.
