Hand-held metal detectors may soon be coming to Knox Schools. The school board voted Tuesday to accept the state’s offer to provide metal detectors free of charge to Indiana schools.

The Knox School Board has approved the purchase of two new school buses. Superintendent A.J. Gappa says the school corporation is getting a 78-passenger Bluebird bus for a cost of roughly $92,000, as well as a 48-passenger Bluebird wheelchair lift bus for around $98,000. Continue reading
