Knox Mayor Dennis Estok says donations from businesses and corporations are coming in for the city’s annual July fireworks display. He told the city council Tuesday night he got an earlier jump on sending fundraising letters out this year. Last year they were mailed in May, and Estok says many businesses had already used up their budget allocations for community events.
The fireworks will once again cap off a day of family-friendly activities in Wythogan Park. The display was moved back downtown last year after being staged at the Starke County Airport for several years.
