Knox skateboarders will have to wait a bit longer to use the city’s skate park.
Park Superintendent George Byer says repairs to the facility in Wythogan Park have been delayed by rainy weather. He says the metal equipment still needs additional welding, and renovations also have to be made to some of the wood structures.
City officials hope to reopen the skate park as soon as possible, but so far, no date has been set. The city’s long-term goal is to gradually replace the components with new ones in the coming years.
