A training video designed to inform school leaders and staff about sexual abuse will be released.
The Indiana Department of Education will be distributing a video to all Indiana school corporations where it is encouraged to share it with all staff members. The video is part of a collaboration between the IDOE, Indiana State Police and the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Indiana State Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. Jennifer McCormick said the goal is to equip staff members in every school corporation with tools on identifying dangerous behavior patterns that may put students at risk.
U.S. Attorney Josk Minkler added that the protection of innocent children remains a top priority.
Indiana State Police Superintendent Doug Carter said administrators and teachers need to recognize signs of child exploitation and what action to take when abuse may be present.
