More Trees Coming to Winamac Parks

Winamac’s parks are getting some new trees, thanks to some local organizations. Park Manager Dave DeLorenzo told the town’s park board last week that the Winamac Tree Committee was scheduled to plant eight trees Saturday.

Additionally, Dave Bennett with the board’s advisory council reported that the Pulaski County Soil and Water Conservation District wants to donate 50 Norway Spruce seedlings. DeLorenzo is considering potential locations, including the Artesian Well site in the Town Park.

Also during last week’s meeting, DeLorenzo said the landscaping around the Town Park Pavilion has been removed, in preparation for repairs set to take place there. Meanwhile, the water has been turned on for the season at the concession stand and the shelter house restrooms.
