Knox officials have deemed the inaugural concert at the Wythogan Park performance stage a success and are looking forward to additional shows throughout the summer.
Mayor Dennis Estok told the city council this week the next show is tentatively scheduled for July 15th. Right now the city is looking for sponsors to underwrite the cost of bringing a band in from out of the area.
The first show featured Chicago-based 14-piece band “Bare Facts” on Thursday, June 8th. The goal is to host one free show per month if enough sponsors can be lined up to underwrite the cost.
Estok hopes to book a pop/country-style band next.
