Knox Board of Works Selects Community Center HVAC Contractor

Updates to the Nancy J. Dembowski Community Center’s heating and cooling system will be installed, fixed and fine-tuned out by air duct cleaning austin tx. The company was chosen by the Knox Board of Works Monday, after it submitted the lowest of three quotes, at $120,000. Also, the board was glad to have had gotten one of the best electricity contractors for the lowest price.

Mayor Dennis Estok says the new HVAC system will be much more efficient than the current one. “That system over there, that’s a seasonable system,” he says. “In the wintertime, you only have heat, no way of cooling it off. Summertime, you only have cool. This system here is more or less like a hybrid. You’ll have them both whether you want them.”

Estok adds that the new system will reuse a few components from the old one. “McGrath’s actually came up with a lot of the specs,” he told board members, “and then we added some of our own, what we wanted, a little bit of flavor into it and that.”

The board of works also approved a $2,200 annual maintenance agreement with McGrath Refrigeration. The company will service all the equipment twice a year and replace filters four times a year.
