The Winamac Park Board will hold its regular monthly meeting tonight. Other than Park Manager Dave DeLorenzo’s monthly report, no specific discussion or action items are listed on the advance agenda.
Currently, the town officials are preparing for a visit next week from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. That will help determine whether Winamac will get grant funding to rebuild its swimming pool. The park board is applying for up to $200,000 in matching money from the federal Land and Water Conservation Fund. The total cost of the new pool is projected to be between $500,000 and $600,000.
Recently, park board members have also been seeking residents’ input on proposed upgrades to Veterans Memorial Park. They’ve also been discussing funding options for potential restroom upgrades in the Winamac Town Park.
Tonight’s park board meeting starts at 6:00 EDT at the Winamac Municipal Utility Complex.
