The man accused of killing a Starke County man in March will be in Starke Circuit Court today for a final pre-trial and plea agreement deadline hearing.
Court documents indicate Edward Blackburn shot Cord Colgrove of Knox in the head in front of two witnesses and co-defendant Augusta Hadden in rural North Judson. She’s charged with assisting a criminal after allegedly throwing her cell phone out of Blackburn’s truck after the shooting in an apparent attempt to hamper efforts to locate them. Her trial is set for Oct. 11 in Starke Circuit Court.
Blackburn is charged with murder. His hearing is set for 9 a.m. today.
