A Knox man was one of four people arrested on meth-related charges, following a Thursday morning traffic stop in Porter County. Indiana State Police say it happened around 2:00 a.m. near the State Road 49 exit off the Indiana Toll Road.

A state trooper reportedly pulled over a 2002 Saturn, after it was driving erratically in and around the tollbooth. Michael Mavrides, 30, of Knox, and three others were taken into custody, after officers say they found numerous hypodermic needles, baggies containing a white powdery substance, a digital scale, and pill bottles believed to contain an opioid in the car.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Saturn, Thomas R. Williams, 37, of Carson, California was allegedly found to have a suspended/revoked driver’s license through California. The front seat passenger, Cassandra K. Rigg, 25, of Fort Wayne was also charged with Identity Deception as a Class 6 Felony, after she reportedly gave police a false name. She and a back seat passenger, Jessica Jones, 25, of Fort Wayne, were both reportedly wanted on warrants for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Syringes, and Possession of Marijuana-Failure to Appear.

All four of the car’s occupants were taken to the Porter County Jail and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Hypodermic Needles, and Visiting a Common Nuisance.
