Knox School Board to Discuss Rescheduling October Meeting

The Knox School Board will meet Wednesday evening in the administrative office to first discuss litigation matters and individual employee evaluations in a private executive session, followed by the regular session at 6:30 p.m.

The main business item on the agenda is moving the first meeting in October due to a scheduling conflict with a conference that a number of board members are set to attend. The board is anticipated to hear from administrators about how the eLearning test day went on Friday, September 1st.

During their last board meeting, the board briefly discussed the possibility of purchasing an additional attachment for the truck that pulls the band trailer or replacing that truck all together. The band has their first trip on September 8th and although parents are permitted to help drive as long as their license is on file with the school, there is a question of whether or not personal vehicles should be utilized to pull the trailer for marching band season due to insurance liabilities related to school-owned instruments and equipment. The board members said they would deliberate and try to come to a decision prior to the next board meeting.
