Knox officials are working to update and renew the city’s 5-year Park Master Plan.
At Tuesday night’s city council meeting, Mayor Dennis Estok announced that a public hearing is scheduled for Thursday, December 7 at 6 p.m. in Knox City Hall. Community members will have a chance to provide their input about what they’d like to see implemented at the parks over the next few years.
Stakeholder group meetings will also be held on that date starting around 4:30 p.m. Those meetings will be with people from various groups such as the park bard, emergency management services, school officials, non-profit organizations and other specific groups whose input would be valuable to the process.
Another aspect of this process is conducting surveys that will collect data about community needs. That survey can be accessed on the City of Knox website. It will be activated today and it will be open until Thursday, December 14th.
Once the survey is activated it can also be accessed here.
