The time for Culver’s local Stellarbration event has been amended to accommodate a change in Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch’s schedule.
Culver was named the Division II Stellar Community by Lt. Governor Crouch on Wednesday, Oct. 18. The state Stellarbration was held the following week while the Town of Culver scheduled the local event for Nov. 8. The start time for the event has been moved to 4:30 p.m. ET.
Members from Culver’s Stellar Committee, local and regional elected officials, administrative staff from state agencies, and Lt. Governor Crouch will be in attendance at the Culver Park Beach Lodge at 819 East Lakeshore Drive in Culver.
The event is free and open to the public.
Information about the Stellar Communities Designation Program will be presented to those in attendance and the local projects will be reviewed. Following the presentation, an open house will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. ET where committee members will be available to answer any questions.
Culver’s projects include the Sand Hill Farms workforce housing development project, Lake Maxinkuckee bike and pedestrian trail, major renovations to the Culver Beach Lodge, creating a western gateway to town on West Jefferson Street, the development of a Cavalier Sports Park on the grounds of the Culver Community Schools, and improved bicycle and pedestrian connectivity with additional sidewalks and connecting trails.
