Daylight Saving Time Ends Sunday

Daylight Saving Time ends this Sunday, Nov. 5.

Before you go to bed Saturday night, or at 2 a.m. local time on Sunday, you will need to turn your clock back one hour. A modernized, digital clock may perform the task on its own, but manual clocks will need to be changed.

Indiana State Fire Marshal Jim Greeson suggests changing the batteries in smoke detectors around the same time Daylight Saving Time is observed. It serves as a good reminder to keep the batteries fresh in the life saving device.

Most areas of the United States observe Daylight Saving Time. The states of Arizona and Hawaii, plus the overseas territories of American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the United States Virgin Islands do not change their clocks.
