The Knox City Street Department will be extending leaf pickup next week.
Street Superintendent Jeff Borg told the Knox Board of Public Works on Wednesday that leaves have fallen but they’re waiting for residents to have the time to rake them and place them along the front of properties along the street.
He said crews are usually done with leaves by now and equipment switched over to winter operations, but the weather has played a big role in the delay in leaf pickup.
Borg said crews will be out first thing Monday morning to work leaf routes.
