The State Department of Education recently released the graduation rates for each corporation and Knox Community School Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart updated the board on the school’s statistics.
“The high school is at 94.5 percent which is the highest in the county,” said Dr. Recihhart. “The school ranks above the state average by about five percentage points.”
Dr. Reichhart attributed the success to the entire corporation as everyone works together toward the goal of a student’s high school graduation.
The superintendent also released information about transfers.
“In Knox, we have 1,837 students K-12 living in our district. Out of those students, 209 of them choose other schools to attend. A lot of those are doing charter virtual schools. We have 220 students who live outside of Knox who are attending our school district. So, we are a positive 11 students.”
Dr. Reichhart said the corporation is in good shape when it comes to student numbers at the corporation.
