Next Public Hearing Over Knox Parks 5-Year Master Plan to be Held in February

Last week, Mayor Dennis Estok established a date and time to hold the next public hearing over the Knox Parks 5-year Master Plan.

Estok explained that this second hearing will be held in order to go over the draft master plan that was submitted to the DNR earlier this month. The results of the online survey, which garnered more than 250 responses, will also be covered.

The initial plan was to have Troyer Group representatives speak at this month’s park board meeting. However, Mayor Estok was informed that there needed to be at least 10 days notice, prior to holding the hearing. It was postponed until February so it can be sufficiently advertised in advance.

After voting to move the start time of their meetings to 6:30, Park Board President Autumn Ferch suggested holding the park plan public hearing at 6 p.m., prior to the regular session. The mayor and board members agreed on that time and confirmed that the next meeting will be held on Monday, February 26th.
