Open Seats in Pulaski County for 2018 Elections

Wednesday marks the first day a declaration of candidacy may be filed and several Pulaski County positions will be up for election this year.

Seats are open for Circuit Court and Superior Court Judges who each serve 6-year terms. Elections will also be held for the 4-year terms of Prosecuting Attorney, Clerk of Courts, the Sheriff, Assessor, Surveyor, Coroner and Commissioner for District #3. All registered voters can vote for these positions and may also cast a vote for the delegate to State Conventions.

Only specific district voters may casts votes for the County Councils in Districts 1 through 4. The same goes for township voters who will be casting votes for the Trustee and Advisory Boards in their townships.

Trustee positions and open Advisory Board seats are available in Beaver, Cass, Franklin, Harrison and Indian Townships as well as Jefferson, Monroe, Rich Grove, Salem, Tippecanoe, Van Buren and White Post Townships. Trustees and Advisory Board members serve 4-year terms.

Precinct Committeemen will be running for 4-year terms in Beaver, Cass, Franklin, Indian, Jefferson, Rich Grove, Salem, Tippecanoe, Van Buren and White Post Precincts, as well as Monroe Precincts 1 through 4, with only precinct voters permitted to why cast ballots.

Elections open to town voters will be held for the Francesville Clerk-Treasurer and Town Council and the Winamac Town Council-at-Large. Elections will also be held for the Culver, Eastern Pulaski and West Central School Boards.
