The math teachers at the West Central School Corporation are getting some extra training. Superintendent Don Street said a trainer was here at the end of January and will be back later this month.
Street also said that two observers will be visiting classrooms.
“Two observers are coming in that are educational professionals and they’ve been working with groups of teachers mostly in the Language Arts and Math areas – the tested areas if you will,” said Street. “They’ll be doing some evaluations, not part of the actual teacher evaluation, but to provide positive, productive feedback to our teachers and best practices implemented in the classroom.”
Street said it will be a positive experience for the teachers to get an outside consultant’s point of view.
