A double homicide, a stabbing, and a pursuit through a cornfield made for a busy weekend for the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Jeff Richwine gave an update to the county council Monday. “We did have a double homicide in the county,” he explained. “It actually happened early last week and wasn’t discovered until this Friday. Us, the state police, the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office, and the Pulaski County Prosecutor’s Office worked very hard from the time that was discovered and arrested a suspect in that with a confession within six hours.”
He credited the four agencies for their cooperation in getting a difficult job done quickly.
But Richwine said the double homicide investigation was just one of a few major incidents to come up over the past few days. “This was kind of a crazy weekend,” he told council members. “We had a stabbing that was also done very well by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office deputies. They had that suspect, and he’s also in jail.”
The sheriff said the weekend ended with a vehicle pursuit through a cornfield Sunday night.
