A Starke Circuit Court jury is expected to hear testimony today in a case involving the alleged disregard of a protective order and criminal recklessness.
It is alleged that on May 30, 2016 Jan Dollahan, Jr., shot at a neighbor’s property in the 2,000 S. block of 700 E. in Knox with a handgun where several bullet holes were allegedly observed in a tree stump by the responding officer. The action was reportedly captured by the victim’s security camera. A little while after this incident occurred, officers say an attempt was made to shoot out the security camera system.
The report also indicated that a child was running around on the suspect’s property at the time the first alleged incident occurred.
A protective order was also in place during these alleged acts.
Dollahan faces a Level 6 Felony charge of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and invasion of privacy.
A jury will be seated around 9 a.m. followed by testimony today in Starke Circuit Court.
