The time has come for street department superintendents to begin putting together grant applications for INDOT’s Community Crossings program.
Francesville Clerk-Treasurer Linda Bennett said several traffic counters are on the streets of Francesville now to gather traffic numbers to include in the grant application. There are a few roads that Street Superintendent Brad Stevens has in mind to repave next season. He will submit that information when applications are due beginning in August.
The Town of Francesville was awarded $101,700 in the 2017 grant round and completed repaving several roads this year.
