The Knox School Board is expected to hire a new assistant principal for the elementary school tonight. Cory Masson is being recommended for the position, according to the advance meeting agenda. If approved, it would be the final piece in a new administrative plan that has many of the school corporation’s principals and assistant principals switching roles.
Meanwhile, preparations are underway for the 2018-2019 school year. The school board will discuss breakfast and lunch prices, student handbooks, book rental and technology fees, and registration dates and times.
Board members will also get an update on the corporation’s wellness policy and school safety plan. Policy updates regarding child abuse, employee background checks, and a number of other topics will be up for board approval. eLearning will also be discussed.
Tonight’s Knox School Board meeting starts at 6:30 at the Knox Schools Administrative Office.
