An armed robbery incident is under investigation with the La Porte County Sheriff’s Department.
Police say officers were called to Rocket Fireworks at 10128 W. Kieffer Road shortly after 6 p.m. CT Wednesday night. Witnesses reportedly told police that one African American man entered the business, brandished a gun and demanded money. The suspect was not able to gain access to any money and left the business a short time later, according to police.
The suspect is in his early 20s, about 5’9” to 5’10” tall, with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
