Starke County Council, Commissioners to Meet Tonight

The Starke County Council members will meet tonight to consider several items.

Prosecutor Nicholas Bourff will request funding for new computers, IT Director Richard Franks will discuss capital items needed while Sheriff Bill Dulin is expected to request two jailer sergeant positions. A Starke County Election Board resolution will be presented by Clerk Vicki Cooley and a BlockChain Technology request will be provided for Data Mining Outside of Hamlet.

The Starke County Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. CT.

Directly following the council meeting, the Starke County Commissioners will meet to open bids for bridge #154, gather more information about a debit card for Starke County Community Corrections, receive a Stellar Communities Designation Program update, consider a request for an annex key, discuss the creation of a jail sergeant position, and respond to a grievance filed.

Starke County Economic Development Foundation Executive Director Larry Wickert will update both the council members and commissioners on various projects being handled by the foundation.

The Starke County Council and Starke County Commissioners will meet in the ground floor meeting room in the Starke County Annex Building No. 1 at 53 E. Mound Street in Knox.
