A day packed full of fun activities for the family can be found in the City of Knox today.
The event opens this afternoon with the Fourth of July parade at 1 p.m. The gates to Wythogan Park open at 2 p.m. where visitors can enjoy music all day and a variety of events at the park.
The Starke County Youth Club Color Walk and Run is at 3 p.m. with registration an hour prior to its start, kids games and activities begin at 2 p.m. with a cornhole tournament at 3 p.m. The entry fee is $15. The Yellow River duck race is at 3 p.m. with registration at 2 p.m. The entry fee is $5. The burnout contest is at 4 p.m. and the magic show is at 5:30 p.m. Pro Wrestling King is from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and the fireworks will begin at dusk.
Parking at Wythogan Park is $10 per vehicle. A tram service will be available from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m for those parking around the Starke County Courthouse and surrounding lots.
